Come in and relax in one of the oldest buildings in town with a fabulous history of the gold mining days gone by. We have friendly staff waiting and willing to pour you New Zealand's finest premium beer on tap, the Monteith's range of lagers and ales.
We have all kinds of entertainment in our bar — Sky Television on the big screens for the avid sports fans, the famous Pot Black Pool Table competed on by Eddie Charlton, a comfortable Gaming Room, broadband internet or wireless access and all-day easy-listening music surrounds. Don't miss the live entertainers that love the atmosphere.
We offer a choice of menus from our two fantastic restaurants located on either side of the hotel: namely, “The Pepper Tree Restaurant” and the “UMU”. They do excellent bar meals and pizzas for us and deliver right to your table in our bar. There is a great variety to choose from and no one walks out hungry or disappointed.
We are also Coromandel town's headquarters for our local motorcycle club. Truly, we have a hard-case lot of riders, all different bikes but with the same love of riding. We are fortunate to live and ride on the peninsula's coast roads, now nominated as one of New Zealand's best scenic rides and drives.
